Dr. Toni M Bond

Dr. Toni M. Bond is a distinguished figure in the reproductive and sexual justice movement. Over her three-decade career, Dr. Bond has established herself as a formidable advocate and leader. She is the CEO and a co-founder of Interfaith Voices for Reproductive Justice (IVRJ). At IVRJ, she helped pioneer the creation of the first community-based Internal Review Board (IRB) focused on reproductive and sexual justice, enhancing support for grassroots research and activism. A pioneer of work at the intersections of religion and reproductive and sexual justice, Dr. Bond has been instrumental in shifting cultural and religious perspectives toward greater reproductive and sexual justice.

Dr. Bond holds a B.A. from DePaul University, an M.A. in Theology/Ethics, a Ph.D. in Religion, Ethics, and Society from CST, and an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Meadville Lombard Theological School. Currently, she serves as Professor of Ethics at Methodist Theological School in Ohio, where she imparts her deep knowledge of classical, Christian, and womanist ethics. Her scholarly pursuits focus on integrating womanist theo-ethics into discussions of reproductive justice, gender, sexuality, and religious faith. Through her teaching and research, Dr. Bond continues to be a pivotal voice in both academic circles and community-based activism, championing the intersection of faith and justice for marginalized communities.
